Menu of the week at MyCaffé Belval: the sea, 17 to 21 August

A little sea on the table

In August, Italy heads for the coast. Kitchens simplify, plates get lighter, and you eat what the morning brought in. Our menu is going the same way this week. Three of the four dishes come from the sea.

The Carnaroli risotto is the one to catch. Parmesan, burrata, scampi and courgette flowers. Those flowers appear for a few weeks a year and they do not keep, which is exactly what makes them worth ordering.

The fusilli come on an asparagus cream with tuna. Simple, fresh, the sort of plate you eat without thinking, somewhere in the shade.

The ravioli are our steady favourite: filled with cacio e pepe, with cherry tomato and green beans. Two cheeses, pepper, nothing more.

The tagliatelle close the week with octopus and cherry tomatoes on a potato cream, finished with crispy onion. Octopus takes time, and you can taste it.

For anyone avoiding gluten, our gluten-free gnocchi are available all week. Just mention it when you order.

MyAperitivo hour

Wednesday to Friday we stay open until 19:00. A baby board of salumi, crisp tarallini, a glass chosen by Alessandro. €5.90, on the terrace, as the light softens.

It is the hour when the campus slows down and sitting still finally feels like the right idea.

Good to know

We are closed every Saturday in August. You will find us Monday to Friday, and Saturday mornings return in September.

The menu of the week is served at lunch, Monday to Friday. For a team lunch or full privatisation of the space, write to us and we will plan it together.
