Tuesday 8 September at midday: fifty people at one table

Date: Tuesday 08 September - Tuesday 08 September 2026

Location: MyCaffé, 6 Rue de la Fonte, Belval

MyCaffé banner on deep teal. The word Tavolata in large sand italics, with the line Fifty people at one table. Tuesday 8 September: dining room booked from 12:00 to 13:00, terrace with about twenty seats, takeaway as usual, room open again from 13:00.

On Tuesday 8 September at midday, fifty people sit down here at the same time. One booking, one hour.

In Italy there is a word for it: una tavolata. It is not a restaurant format, it is a family one. The table gets longer, chairs get added until everyone fits, and nobody starts before the others.

That is what will be happening in the dining room between 12:00 and 13:00.

What it changes for you

The room belongs to them for that hour. One hour, not one day.

If the weather holds, and Tuesday looks like it will, the terrace stays open: around twenty seats outside, with the usual service. You sit down, someone comes over, nothing else changes.

Takeaway runs like any other day. You order, you leave.

And from 13:00 the room comes back to you, with this week’s Suggestioni.

The rest of the day is unchanged

We open at 6:30, as we do every Tuesday, and close at 18:00. The morning coffee, the counter, the pastries: none of that is affected.

If you were planning to eat inside on Tuesday at noon, move it by an hour or sit outside. If you come at any other time, you will not notice a thing.

Fifty people eating at once can be heard from the street. You will know it is Tuesday.
