Some dishes feed you.
But others: they comfort you, gather you, and tell you a story.
At MyCaffé, our homemade Cannelloni Montanara is more than just a dish.
It’s a message, rolled by hand, filled with depth, and baked with care.
The name comes from “canna” (meaning “reed”), referencing the shape.
Although there’s no confirmed inventor, the dish became popular in Campania, Piedmont, and Emilia-Romagna, where families created their own versions.
Some say a Neapolitan chef once made them for King Ferdinand I.
But truth be told? It’s a legend; like most Italian recipes, the real story lives in the hands of those who make them.
🍄 Earthy porcini mushrooms, straight from the woods
🐑 Slow-cooked lamb, tender and rich
🌰 A touch of almond crunch
🍄 A hint of truffle, like the whisper of the forest
🌿 And not one, but two pestos: one tomato, one basil
Each one is carefully rolled, baked like a love letter, and served with pride.
